Take responsibility for your actions, and don't be stupid enough to get caught. What's the best parenting advice you ever got?
Simple: follow your heart.
tell your children each day how much you love them and that you will always be theire for them.
use love, trust, understanding, and above all patience.
To love, care, teach and enjoy your children everyday, because they grow up so fast, before you know it, twenty years have come and gone and they are gone doing there own thing. Savor the time you have with them, and protect them from evil, no matter the cost.
not to have any (kids).
Stay in school
Before I became a mother, I met a wonderful woman with 3 grown children. She told me that raising her children was her vocation and teaching was her job. She wanted to teach them to grow up to be caring, responsible and independent.
I have always kept her words in my mind. My 3 children are now grown up and I can say thankfully, with God's help, they are too. When they're teenagers, keep a good sense of humour and don't take it personally!
wait until you are married. duh!
Pick your battles wisely!!! Learn to let some things go and when to stand your ground. ALWAYS follow through with what you threaten!! If you don't plan to follow through.......don't try to use it as leverage.
For Example......your five year old daughter refuses not 1 but 2 beautiful spring dresses........she wants to wear her velour winter holiday dress with her white lacey socks and sandals..........LET IT GO.....IT ISN'T HURTING ANYONE. But, when she tries to run off at a park when you say it is time to go and have warned her that it was almost time to go.......pick her up and haul her to the car.
