Pride and Boy has been desperate to try one all his little life and as it's Christmas I have just relented.
I would have felt more comfortable buying drugs ;-)
Anyhow...are there any adverse effects I should be aware of?
I was going to ask in parenting but the REAL voice of morality and sh1t hot parenting is here innit?Would you consider letting your child eat a Chicken And Mushroom Pot Noodle , negligent or lax parenting?
Ah the joys of pot noodles, when I was ';studying'; at my local comp, we used to be allowed out to use a local shop. Cunning shop keepers used to sell pot noodles and hot pies/pasties. In fact I blame him for Welsh teenage obesity.
I did get a taste for the chicken and mushroom ones and used to buy them and eat them in my room after I came in from my paper round. Hiding the pots in the bin to avoid ';why I am eating crap when there is bread and dripping waiting for you'; questions. Hey I suppose at least I wasn't hiding ';pot';.
When I was at uni the ';Posh Noodle'; was released for the more socially mobile - I was given one free in the city centre, it was vile.
So the moral of the story is let your child savour a pot noodle this once but then routinely search the house for signs of illict use.
Side effects - no more than 30+ hours in a row on a PS3 or similar.
Merry Xmas!
P.S - If anyone mentions those pot noodle ads that take the p**s out of Wales I will empty a sachet of soy sauce over them!Would you consider letting your child eat a Chicken And Mushroom Pot Noodle , negligent or lax parenting?
Well.....there are worse things you can do than let your child eat a pot noodle. But...he's been desperate to try one all his life???? Why?
Mine have never had one, and they have never asked to try one. If they did, I'd have no problems letting them though as I think it would be safe for them to make up their own mind!
Side effects? Well, it's not poison - so there won't be any. Maybe you need to lighten up a bit..as long as he has a healthy, balanced diet - one pot noodle is hardly going to be damaging. If you deny things - they become the very thing a child wants - give him the freedom to make decisions himself. Say your views on things and give him a bit of credit (if he's over 4)
I don`t think i have ever had a pot noodle. But, my staple diet as a child was, chips from the local fish and chip shop, Golden savoury packet rice, Findus cheese pancakes, and frozen arctic roll.
It`s a wonder i`m still here.
Maybe all the cheese i ate, plus the Twiglets and freshly cracked nuts i had at Christmas, kept me going.
The Pot Noodle, can`t be worse, than the dog food lasagne, you keep serving up.
They will realise one of these days, that `Good Boy`, is not a patch on premium steak mince. :(
So long as it is just an irregular occurrence it won't really do any harm . Sounds .like you already provide a good and healthy balanced diet and one offs like this will not affect him
Bad parenting is when you only supply rubbish like this for children to eat and do not take any time in preparing your own food
HAHAHAHAHAHA.....LOL, at first it seemed that you were asking about a British product that was the American equivalent of Lipton Cup'O'Soup....but, intrigued, I did some searching and found out just why you were so concerned...the side effects can be truly devastating to a family as this video produced by that company shows:

My advice, if you children are your 'little lambs'....do it!
Hey, it could be worse. You could be one of the parents where I work who regularly send their children (all under 5) in with super noodles for their main meal of the day. When I say regularly, we're talking 3-4 times a week minimum. It sickens me, but technically, they are feeding their children something, so it's OK.
It's lax, terribly lax...however tis the season to eat shite and many additives, so go for it. Whack a Sanatogen down his throat and he'll be fine.
If you decide to go down the drugs route, go for intravenous - smoking just makes your house smell, and we don't want that.
I'm very disappointed that neither of my children actually like Pot Noodle! When I was a kid it was the height of special treats!
That said, these days they aren't what they used to be. They've reduced the salt, so you really don't get the full crappy effect any more.
I survived my late teens and early twenties on a diet of vesta curries and pot noodles. All washed down with vast amounts of pils lager and superking cigs.
I turned out to be one of the biggest health freaks and anti junk food fascists you will ever meet.
So, take your chances he could go either way............
hahaha!
yes i think i'm with you on this
I'm pretty sure though he will try the pot noodle and hate it...and then be really thirsty because of all the salt.
I don't think they are quite as bad as they used to be actually.
Oh mine ask for those every time we go to Tesco! Its the lure of the thing mum won't allow.
They had them once ~ I gave in and they didn't even eat it all after all the mither.
It didn't live up to its rep! lol So don't worry.
Huh??? They are Sunday dinner in my house, with Haribo Star mix for afters.
Curry flavour ones on a Friday night. special treat.
Lax parenting is allowing your children to eat Snack A Jacks, dog biscuits and Muller Rice.
Ok, I admit it I'm a negligent mother.
I nearly choked when I saw this question, my 2 have just eaten Pot Noodles.
At least you can pretend the mushroom counts as a veg portion!
Too many ';variables'; for an answer.
Type mushrooms, age of child
White meat or Dark.
Type of noodle,etc.
You let him watch the filth that was the cummunist games so I am not surprised your lax parents includes fattening your brood up with trash.
There should be no adverse effects theyve cut the salt content right down now. It sounds like he usually eats a balanced diet so dont worry, let him enjoy!
did i mention, you need to add hot water ?
serving it dry would be a negligence

Pot noodles.....How can they be good for you...they're too gorgeous
(In finest welsh accent)
Everything in moderation my mother said ;)
all of the above giving drugs to children is just wrong and very much illegal. Some people just should not be parents maybe that is why they have child protective services
one pot noodle never killed anyone, if someone was that scared of life and parenting they should have used contraception.
I'm still waiting for my spinning fork I won from their promotional thingy.
Bombay Bad Boy Pot Noodles rule.
You really did let your standards slip didn't you. Watch out for signs of chav, ie asking for Burberry, saying 'innit' a lot. lol
I have a child. Where can these be found in the United States please?
no thanks.
