';Straight-laced and proper'; Compliment or insult when it comes to parenting?

In modern-day parlance would that be the same as saying that you are ';past your sell-by date'; or is that a little more rude if said in a certain way?';Straight-laced and proper'; Compliment or insult when it comes to parenting?
Compliment, insult, or merely nonjudgmental description: it really would depend upon who said it and what they intended by it. However meant, you can decide for yourself how to take it. Seems to me that you may have been pegged as a strict parent with expectations of high behavioral standards. Unless carried to extremes, that's a good thing, no matter how the description was intended.';Straight-laced and proper'; Compliment or insult when it comes to parenting?
I don't think its improper. There is a liberal movement now that seems depravity and obscenity is the ';in thing';.

Just know the T.V. is a mind control box in your house that will cause you immense problems in later years. I would limit it's use.
it depends on how it is said, and by whom.

if it is said in a nice way, i would take it as a compliment, but if it was said in an insulting way, i would take as such!
it depends, ive seen alot of your posts and you seem very snobbish and as if you know it all and that you were the perfect mother
';Straight-laced and proper'; means anal / uptight, and Christian with a capital C.
Why do you repeatedly ask the same questions?????
