Call your local school system and ask them about their program Parents as Teachers. Most areas have it and it's a very good program that I refer many of my clients to. I'm sure they can really help, not only with a book, but with all resources.
There is a series of books that begins with ';What to Expect When You're Expecting';. The ';What to Expect ...'; series explains very nicely.
