whether he said it or not, IT IS. Am I wrong or did Bill Cosby say teen-age pregnacy was a lack of good parenting?
If you don't know, then perhaps you shouldn't be commenting on it.
However, after a little bit internet searching, I was able to quickly find articles stating the following:
';[Cosby] blamed parental failures for high dropout rates, teen pregnancy, foul-mouthed behavior and a lack of respect within the black community.';
';Cosby blamed blacks' disproportionately high dropout, crime and teen-pregnancy rates on the black community itself.';
You will notice that in both quotes, Cosby was talking about how the culture of a ';community'; is leading to a list of societil ills. He's NOT saying that every child's sin is caused by a lack of good parenting. He's saying the lack of good parenting in a societal group leads to a host of ills within that society.
Otherwise, to try to direct Cosby's words toward an individual family would indicate that if someone has one child that's a pregnant teenager, either that teenager or her other siblings must all be foul-mouth a dropouts, or criminals.Am I wrong or did Bill Cosby say teen-age pregnacy was a lack of good parenting?
i don't know if he said that
but i agree. parent are to much wimps these days and want talk to their kids. and some school talk about the reproductive organ but never about sex.
i think bye age 13 teens should know all the pros, cons, the good, the bad, and ugly of sex. research has soon that talk to your kids and having a close bond helps them be less likely to have sex at a young age.
with that their is still a chance but at least they will know ow to protect themselves and hopefully have it because they are 100% ready and love that person.
parent don't have the FULL talk with their kids and then blame the schools.
parent should be reasonable on the talk and school on any new things about sex that a parent might not know.
I'm 18 and virgin. my mother didn't give the best talk but because i have a good bond with her, had friends who knew more and want to wait until marriage, and with luck. i was lucky i didn't have my first bf until 8 months ago.
You know I think that there comes a point in a teens life where they take heed to what there parents say or they turn completely away from it. So you can not ALWAYS blame the parent for what the child has done wrong.
i didn't hear him say that or maybe i missed it.. a little bit true but to be honest you can be what you want to be either good or bad even if you don't have parents..
Yep he said it. And sometimes it is not all though
That sounds like something he'd say
