I'm 16...would the fact that i take them be kept from my parents? Does it have to be my family doctor? (she scares me)Do i have to get birth control pills through a parenting clinic or can i get it through my family doctor?
you can go to your family doctor or a clinic, as long as you are over the age of 13 you don't have to have parental consent. and you can also tell your family doctor you wouldn't like the information shared with your parents, and she won't. hopes this helpsDo i have to get birth control pills through a parenting clinic or can i get it through my family doctor?
if you want to keep it away from your parents i would recomend going to some other clinic, like i do
they will pretty much take you in any clinic
That is not true. You can go to a family planning clinic and get birth control pills or other types of birth control. Well it might depend on where you live. I live in CA and I know this for a fact because when I was a teen I went to a family planning clinic and they do not tell your parents, as long as you let them know. You should talk to your parents though.
planned parenthood will not tell ur parents...idk if u have to be a certain age or not...probably not...but they still examine you (pap and boob feel up) before u get ur pill packs.
You can get them thru your family doctor i think that and a OBGYN doctor is the only places that can perscribe them to you.
No it does not have to be through your family doctor. Even though patients have a privacy and confidential policy between there doctor, I wouldn't go through her and you don't have to. Look up on Yellow Pages for a local Planned Parenthood. Birth Control, Condoms, and so much more information is available there. They even have a website. Hope this helps..
You could get them free at a clinic if you're scared, by law I dont think the doctor could tell your parents but since you're a minor I dont know how much that comes into play? Chances are you'll be safe going to the doc. I'm sure she sees it all the time and will be happy you're being smart about it.
