Do some parents send their children to religious schools to avoid parenting themselves?

Is sending children to religious schools often a cop out by some parents who can't be bothered with parental responsibilities?

Are some parents of children sent to religious schools actually agnostic, even atheistic in their core beliefs, but try to pull the wool over their children's eyes by passing the religious buck to the M-F Sunday school teacher so to speak? Your view?Do some parents send their children to religious schools to avoid parenting themselves?
yesDo some parents send their children to religious schools to avoid parenting themselves?
What's the difference in others sending their kids to day care? Same thing, different religion.
No, I don't think so. How would that be different than sending your child to a government school. As a matter of fact it shows you are willing to make a financial commitment to ensure your child gets an education rather than an indoctrination into liberal ideology..
I think it's more so that they will get a God centered education, not so they can avoid parenting. Avoiding parenting can be much cheaper than religious schools.
I don't think so, we want our children to be free from the new age teachings and sex education and absences of Gos in school. Its a safer environment and is worth the money.
Parenting is a tough thing, why do you add guilt to that. As parents we try, as we do not have a road map, to do the right thing. Invariably we second guess ourselves at every step, and thanks to people like you we have ten others who are ready to tell us where we went wrong.

There is nothing wrong in teaching children anything that might help them. It is not cop out, even if you did nor believe it, or know it.

We have to get them that edge that will make them successful. And thanks to the parents most of the kids turn out well thank you.
Even if you send your child to a Christian school and church every week - bottom line - you are responsible for their faith in God.......it can't be given to someone else.....
