';What happens is not as important as your attitude toward what happens';Parenting advice. Any of those profound sayings you'd tell other parents?
';You are not responsible FOR your children, you are responsible TO your children.';
meaning you have an obligation to raise your children, provide for them, teach them and love them, but ultimately they are their own person separate from you from the time of their birth. They make their own decisions and all we can do as parents is provide the wisdom of knowing consequences.
Just a couple of key points I would pass along...
1. Love, Understanding, and Patience are the three most important things
2. Your responsible for teaching them about life and right and wrong. Always remember love and discipline tie in together
3. Go into each day with a good attitude and don't think your going to be perfect
';What would you do if you knew you were going to die in the morning? You'd probably spend your night wide awake, watching your children sleep. That realisation made difficult nights a lot easier for me.';
Children may not always do exactly as they are told, but they will never fail to imitate.
Spare the Rod; Spoil the Child
