Well the reason they do the drugs is that they have nothing else better todo and they like the high. The drinking they just love to be drunk and to be a differnt person. When they are drunk they feel as tho they can speak or do anything they wont with out worrying. I work with alot of teenagers and I ask them dont it get old to wake up every morning with a hang over and arent they scared they are going to be looseing all there brain cells and one day not waking up. All they do is look at me dumb.Why are teenagers so stupid when it comes to drugs, alcohol, parenting, etc?

What's sad is how stupid you are to assume that just because I'm a teen, I'm clueless when it comes to drugs, alcohol, or parenting. My friends and I talk about how we don't want to do drugs or drink a lot. We know that we don't want to be pregnant teenagers. You don't have to take my word for it, but we're not complete morons. I've seen the affects of drugs and alcohol. I've seen the affects of teenage parenting. I've watched my sister throw up from too much beer, and my brother lick his phone and touch himself saying like a three year old, ';Jess, I have to pee! I have to pee!'; after coming home drinking. I have a friend who's mother had her at the age of 16, ran away from home, has foster parents, and is making the biggest mistake of her life all over again. Please don't tell me that teenagers are stupid when it comes to things like this. I'd appreciate you not wasting others' time.
I'm sixteen years old. I'm anti-drugs, because it's weak. I'm anti-alcohol because my father failed me. As for parenting that comes with experience. Most children only know what their parents will tell them. That's why most are so ignorant on the matter. It's not stupidity, it's ignorance.
Actually most teenagers don't do drugs, smoke, drink, etc..
Most of my friends are abstaining from sex, and the friends I know who aren't virgins or have children were raped and didn't want an abortion.

They are usually unable to make good choices also at that age all they care about is fitting in and being popular.It is kind of dumb, i totally agree with you.And it is a stereotype.not all teenagers are like this but the majority are.Personally when i see a group of teenagers i roll my eyes and move to get away from them
well because when you're a teen there's the problem with hormones going crazy in your body, there're so much pressure from within and outside, you need to care about your peers, school, relationship etc etc and you hardly know how to handle all these problems.
Drugs and alcohol can offer some sort of temporary release that teens look for from the awakening of the ugliness of the real world...
Also because in TV they always drink and all that so it looks cool and mature or as if they solve the problems
why does everyone think that EVERY teenager take drugs, get pregnant and drink and do crazy ****? not all teens are like this!! YES when i was younger i smoked and did crazy **** but my sister who is only a year younger didnt do any of that, i had my son at 19 and im a GREAT mum!! im not dumb, i have more common sense that wat u probably would when u have a kid! a first time mum who was 32 came to me asking for advice!! hello, wake up and smell the roses!! *rolls eyez* oh and as for blaming the parents that is a load of bullsh*t!! my parents are the best parents aroun, they smoke ciggies and occassionally have a drink, do i smoke? NO, do i drink? NO! so can u blame the parents? HELL NO!! each to there own, its the kids decision and it depends on wat sort of crowd they get into at school!!

To everything that can happen. Most adults have seen the damage and hurt it causes so they stress it to their kids. Some teens like me honestly will do something just because their parents told them not too. Its their revenge, but they are only hurting themselves. Not to mention uh duh PeerPressure. Its alot harder now that kids are doing it and talking about it out in the open 24/7. You hear everyone talking about it and you think well im just a loser because i'm the only one not doing it. I think the only reason i havent done those things as much as i wanted to is because I would always think of my Dad and how disappointed he would be, and God. When teens have a strong conscience they are less likely to do drugs and such.
Sooo once again, many things make kids do drugs.

Many of the reasons of that is bad parenting! If the teens don't have a good, positive role model, then the child will live his/her life in seclusion and he/she will have bad discretion.
It's not that they are stupid. They haven't been properly taught. How will they know unless we teach them? It's takes a village to raise an idiot, but a parent to raise a responsible human.

First off, I find you rather stupid as well as ignorant for stereotyping teenagers as such.
I don't do drugs and I don't drink alcohol. I have friends that do, but does that make them stupid? No. Most just do it because it's fun or because it's an escape from reality. And believe it or not, there are fewer kids doing drugs then there was in past generations. Look at the generations before us! Think sixties, dude! Back then, practically everybody was getting high. Nowadays, the worst most teens do is smoke a little pot.
The issue of teens drinking alcohol is more common, though. But think, how many adults drink? How many parents drink? Yes, parents, the ones who raise the teenagers and have some amount of influence on us. We see them drink. We see people at party's drink, and it looks as though their having a good time. So why not? It makes them feel less stressed and more free.
We're teenagers. We like to have fun and to feel free. And don't care if it's healthy or if its legal. After all, we're just a bunch of stupid teenagers trying to find a good time.

Excuse me? To a seventeen year old, who holds down a job, 3.75 GPA, and volunteers at a hospital for the past two years I take this as an insult.
And PARENTING? Excuse fu'kin me. I take childcare courses, and I believe when I can fully suport a child I will make a wonderful mother.
