The worst advice I ever received was from a family friend, she told me not to breastfeed because it would make my baby skinny and malnutritioned and possibly anemic, because babies don't usually want to drink it.What is worst parenting advice you've Heard?
I was shopping at a street fair with my friend and her 8 year old daughter. Her daughter was biting on a finger nail when she thought no one was looking. One of the vendors said to my friend and her daughter, ';Don't let her chew on her nails, she'll get AIDS that way.';
The worst advice I ever got was to drug my daughter when she was misbehaving , I barely give my daughter medicine anyway because her body is so sensitive to things.. I cant imagine giving her medicine and having her OD in her sleep... Horrible..
I think the worst advice I recieved was being told that eating dirt would not hurt my 1 year old. Another was to rub whiskey on their gums when they are teething. It might be an old remedy, but can you imagine a tipsy toddler? :P
If you need a break, give your child benadryl so they will go to sleep early.
Was told to hit my 18 month old daughter when shes misbehaving.
