What other comments who you like to share regarding parenting?
Don't raise your children based upon the misgivings or ';misfortunes'; you experienced in your childhood, you cannot make up for the things that you feel you missed out on in life. Each person is an individual and should be raised as such. Always keep in mind there are bigger influences out in the world than that at home. Be stern, don't try to be a friend, be a parent-check your parenting skills and your habits, watch that of your child and see if you are the cause of the reaction/result you are getting. Be open and honest with your child(ren) they are aware of things more than you know. Be aware of their mood changes, their friends, their eating habits, don't invade their space, yet don't let them have too much freedom-repsect is a two way street. schedule and enforce chores this fosters responsibility. Praise them for a job well done. tell them you love them...just because...let them know what their good points are...expound on them...allow them to explore their gifts and talents...help them in the weaknesses...correlate them to something they like and how it will effect them later in life...be an example...don't try to act like you are the super parent...it is okay to have faults, no body is perfect
